Aw, heck, my formatting messed up! But I need to post this now and get to bed. Hopefully it will be all right.

I have worked at this new list most of the day and still have yet to re-check the Characterization category. So this is for all the categories EXCEPT that. I have to work tomorrow, but hope to have the rest of it checked by Monday. If necessary, we will have another short extension.

Please help me out by looking this over and seeing if I've missed any duplicates or last year's winners so far.

In celebration of our Fourth Anniversary, we are pleased to announce the very first Many Paths to Tread "Tree and Flower" Awards!

Here are the rules:

1. Only stories posted at the Many Paths to Tread Archive are eligible.

2. Stories must be posted at the MPTT Archive by August 3 of this year to be eligible. All stories posted to the site prior to that date are eligible. Stories may be updated after that, but the story must have gone up at the archive on or before that date.

3. No stories which won an award in the previous year are eligible for a second nomination, except a story which was nominated in the Work-in-Progress category in a previous year may be nominated in a different category when it is completed. A list of previous winners will be posted for nominators to check prior to making nominations.

4. No self nominations.

4. Nominations will be made to posts at the LiveJournal Community. (If you have trouble accessing LiveJournal, you may email the mods at: aelfwina@gmail.com, or virginia_lee_redcat@yahoo.com , to make nominations for you.)

5. Stories may run in only one category; if the story is nominated in two or more categories the earliest nomination will count. (We ask that authors check other nominations prior to making their nominations, to avoid duplicates.) Nominators may nominate one story per category, but may make nominations in as many categories as they wish.

6. Nominators are permitted to promote the stories they have nominated, though they cannot ask people to vote for any particular one.

7. Nominations will open on August 2 and will run through August 10.

8. The first round of voting will begin on August 26, and will continue to September 15. Votes will be cast in a poll, the link to which will be announced at both and at the Yahoo! email group on September 22.

9. Places will be first, second, third and Honorable Mention in each category.

This is a simple old-fashioned "ticky-box" awards, but we hope everyone will enjoy participating in it! Come and help us celebrate our Third Anniversary!

Except for a couple of substitute nominations which may be added by the end of the day, nominations are closed for the Tree and Flower Awards. The beginning of voting will be postponed a day or so (due to the entirely unexpected number of total nominations!

You are allowed to promote your stories and the awards, just so long as you do not ask for votes! Signal boost the awards and other stories as well!
