Just a reminder that nominations are being taken for the Second Annual Tree & Flower Awards!

Nominations are open until August 10.

This is the post for nominations of works in random special categories. I have made threads for each of the following categories:

Favorite story by a new author (author a member of MPTT for six months or less)
Favorite story featuring a Holiday Theme
Favorite Illustration of a story by an artist


Please nominate by commenting to the appropriate thread below-- there is one for each category. Comment with the name of the story and the name of the author. All stories must be currently posted at Many Paths to Tread You may make one nomination per category.

We have decided to postpone the beginning of voting until tomorrow, or perhaps even Wednesday. We have many nominations to double check and make sure they are placed correctly, also those of you with duplicate nominations have until 12 tonight, CDST (5AM tomorrow GMT) to make your substitute nominations.

Hello everyone!

I deleted the four posts I made last night after saving all the comments, which I used to incorporate the corrections into the new list.

I have made the new list in Google.docs, since LJ will not let me do one post:

Simply click on the link to check the list.

As before, (parentheses) around duplicate nominations means the author needs to choose which category. I will be contacting some of the authors for the first time, since some of the duplications I only just noticed.

I'll be adding new nominations as they come up. If you will need to make a substitute nomination because of duplication, we'll have an extension for you, which I will post more about later.

I'd like to remind people that there is less than a week now to get your nominations in for the Tree and Flower Awards!

In order to facilitate the rest of the nominations, behind the cut are the stories which have been nominated so far ("so far" is 9PM Sunday, CDST/2AM Monday GMT), which include all the ones I have received as of that time. Please look over the list, so we can cut down on duplicate nominations; also, although I have tried my best, I may have missed a duplicate nomination OR missed one altogether. If you see a story listed more than once, or if you have made a nomination BEFORE 9PM Sunday, CDST/2AM Monday GMT, and do NOT see it here, please comment on this post to let me know.

As you can see, we still have some categories with no, or only one, nomination! So I hope you will take the chance to make some!

There are still a few doubles, now in () parentheses to reflect that the author has not chosen the category yet. I will edit those when I hear from the author. If I do not hear from the author in 48 hours, the nomination will default to the first to nominate.

ETA: Nominations in red were received today. (8/20/12, by 4PM CDST)

I will also be adding new nominations here as I receive them.

In fact, we already had a few nominations before I was even finished posting the nomination posts!

Just a quick reminder of the rules on nominations

-All stories must be posted at Many Paths to Tread by Aug. 3, 2012. (Stories may be updated after that date, but must have been originally posted by that date.)
-No self-nominations
-Only one nomination per category. You may nominate in as many categories as you wish.
-Nominate by commenting to the appropriate thread on the nomination posts.

-This is the post for nominations of works categorized by Type of work.
