We will soon be making an announcement for the commencement of the 2013 Tree & Flower Awards, so it's a good time to start combing the MPTT archives for stories you want to nominate.

We'll be making a few changes this year to simplify things and to make them run more smoothly.

First of all, comments to nominate will NOT be screened this year. This way the nominator can see at a glance if the story she or he wished to nominate has already been nominated in that category. DO however remember to check other possible places it might have been nominated. (For example a story about Faramir might also be nominated in the LotR category or perhaps the drama category—do check!) Screening the comments last year was a bad idea (*blushes*) and led to a lot of confusion.

The voting polls this year will ALL be hosted at Survey Monkey; links to the polls will be announced. We hope this way to avoid spamming the LJ flists of our members with all those polls.

We are eliminating the Overall Winner category.

There will be a few new categories this year. More on those later!
