Small Tree and Flower banner, Small banner for the T&F awards on MPTT

2012 Many Paths to Tread Tree and Flower Awards

After a number of delays and glitches, the votes have been tallied. Votes were combined from both the polls on LJ at the [livejournal.com profile] lotr_community and the polls at the Yahoo!group, LOTR_Community_GFIC. A few votes at the latter were disqualified, and I thank the person who accidentally voted twice for coming forward and helping us out by telling us about it.

There are ties, in some case, multiple ties! But we did not plan for tiebreakers, so we will honor those winners equally.

We would like to congratulate all of the winners, and to thank all the voters and nominators for helping us to get this first Tree & Flower Awards off the ground! We had a few hitches along the way, but I think we learned a lot!

There will be some lovely banners made by our intrepid banner-making volunteers available at the Many Paths to Tread archive by the end of the week! Thank you very much to Ellyn and to Nath for all their hard work, and to our intrepid webmistress Dawn Felagund for getting them up!

Thanks to Dreamflower for all of her hard work and thank you also to everyone else who helped organize, promote, or who participated in the awards. It was lovely to have the opportunity to read or re-read the nominated works and to reach new readers.

It was fun. These things usually stress me and this one was stress free. Of course, I did not have to do all the work you did!

I'm sad that traveling and bad internet kept me from completing my voting, so I didn't get votes put in for all the categories. But I did my best!

On the other hand, I'm happy to have had the opportunity to participate and I found some great new stories to read! And of course, it's always sweet to discover that other people like my stories enough to vote for them. I'm very pleased about the ones that placed!

Thanks for all the hard work that went into this, we should definitely do this again!

No, as Dreamflower said above:

Emphasis is mine. By the looks of it the rest of the source banners, Winner Banners: Source Categories, Winner Banners: Race Categories, Winner Banners: Special Categories will probably be up when the weekend kicks off.

And congrats :D

Thanks, sweetie. You could have knocked me over with a pin--I had very low expectations--thinking "nobody at MPTT knows me or my work." What fun. I guess some among the few that were voting do. And congrats to you too--your name just kept popping up as I scanned the list. (Just proves you have to write more!)

On the banners: I only had two entries, so it looked to me that there were dozens and dozens of banners, but one of mine was not there! I have been kind of dopey this week. Hectic.

Wow, this was not something I expected.. at all given my fandom 'activity' of the past years. I just have no, eloquent words for this to capture what I am feeling now. So I will say this, as a very busy mom I am humbled and touched to receive 5 2nd places and one very nice 3rd place.

Thank you all

*runs off with her shineys like a proper Maglor fangurl and no I do not live nearby water so no worries LOL*

My mind is blown.

I'm embarrassed to say, I've fallen so far out of the fandom I had no idea this was even going on. (I spotted my username while skimming Middle-Earth News.)But wow, I am really, really thankful and flattered to the point of blushing!

I'm really amazed at the fact that two of my stories are up here! Thank you to everyone who liked them well enough to vote for them :) and thank you to everyone who got these awards together!!!

(On another note, I notice that one of my stories on the list is a crack-fic...My very first MEFA award was for a crack-fic too. Are people trying to tell me I should write more of it? LOL!)
