Farawyn sat on the hearthrug playing with her cat, a handsome ginger tom who purred contentedly.

Eldarion raced into the room, his dog at his heels. The spaniel playfully chased the cat. Hackles raised, it growled at the intruder before fleeing.

“Your stupid dog’s upset my cat!” cried Farawyn.

“Your silly cat is cowardly!” Eldarion retorted.

“Cats are best!”

“Dogs are best!”

“Peace,” said Aragorn, entering unobserved. “Why must one choose either cats or dogs? I could never choose between you, my children. Cats and dogs each have their own worth, as do boys and girls while being very different!”

Yum! My goodness. Those look awfully good. Those folk in the unit are going to be lucky! I love the delicacy of the decoration that you did. Very spring-like and pretty.

I wish there were some kind of technology that would allow me to "copy" your pictures into the real thing.

That is so, so sweet of you to make those cakes for the elderly there... you deserve a gold star for that one. :) They're lovely, too.

Oh, it's great fun for me. I took the Wilton Cake Decorating classes about 26 years ago, and for a while did a *lot* of cake decorating. But now it's just the two of us, and cake not exactly the best thing for us, so I've not many excuses outside of the holidays to put my skills to work.

Cakes are fun! I made this very strange one when I was at home because Mum had some friends over and so I volunteered to make something. It consisted of cocos, egg cream, prunes and whipped cream. Not my thing but they did like it. I would probably eat one slice if served but it's not the combination of ingredients that spring to mind if I want to make a funny cake, lol. Prunes in a cake! *shakes head*

Prunes and cocoa. That *is* a strange combination. I am very sorry to say that the first thing it made me think of was Ex-Lax, LOL!
