“And so?” Pippin asked.
“He sneaked into the pantry--and ate half of Theo’s wedding cake.”
“Half of it?” Pippin took a gulp of his own ale; his imagination providing a vivid image of the scene.
“I’ve never see Estella blow up like this in all the years we’ve been married. The sound--and the fury! I thought she’d kill him. I tell you, Pip, whatever you do, don’t do anything to make Diamond angry a week before your son’s wedding!”
