Title: Climbing
Element: up, down
Rating: G
Summary: Frodo and a mountain. My first drabble!

Frodo stared up the mountain looming far above, its top hidden by clouds. He saw superimposed upon it, the mountain of Fire Sam had carried him up which he knew he must climb down if he had any hope of healing. He looked around him. Bilbo, Gandalf, Celebrian and others he sensed but could not see stood around him and smiled. “It’s so high,” he breathed, then with the same determination in which he had set out to complete his first Quest, he began his ascent - and his descent. He did not climb alone.

At least he did find his healing at the last. He climbed and descended safely, and well into healing this time! Lovely!

I think the thing I like the most about this one is your idea that a part of Frodo never really left that mountain and has been waiting all this time for him to be ready to. Nice first drabble!

A wonderful drabble! Very good indeed. I love the metaphor of the mountain.

I love the idea that Bilbo did not climb alone and that there are some with him who are in as much need of healing as he was. Gandalf, in particular, was a fascinating addition to this group that is going both up and down. I wonder if he's there for support, healing, or a little of both. Any might fit the bill.

Very nice. May it be the first drabble of many!

I like how Frodo doesn't have to climb this mountain alone and how he remembers and compares it to the last mountain he went up.

I like the sense of him finally overcoming all the hurts associated with that first mountain. Nicely done.

High as this particular mountain is, the road is bound to be easier than Mount Doom.
