Oh, I agree--and I, too, have thought of Pippin and his father as helping out as is needed, here and there about the Tooklands. Marvelous as he realizes his father hasn't ever abandoned his old identity as farmer. And farmers, as do gardeners, tend to understand about nurturing and so on to keep what they plant growing and prospering!
