June 2013 Challenge: The Jewels of June

The June Challenge will have the theme "The jewels of June". Stories should reflect something of value (not necessarily something of material value, though it can be). Elements for the challenge will be a specific kind of jewel to be mentioned somewhere in the story.

The June challenge stories will be due Friday, June 21st and will be revealed on Monday, June 24th (this is an automatic extension of one week, due to the lateness of this announcement). Please tag your story "jewels of june" and " '13 june". Please remember to use the following header template (also found on the community profile page), and to put the name of your story and your name in the subject line.
