2012 Yule Fic Exchange

IF you signed up for the 2012 LOTR GFIC Yule Fic Exchange at THIS announcement post the requests are behind the cut. ONLY those who signed up are eligible to choose a request, and ALL who signed up are obligated to write a story. Post a comment with the number of the request you wish to write. Post a comment as well for your second choice. State clearly which is your first or second choice. Comments will be screened.

First choices will be crossed out as the mods see the requests come in. If two people request the same one before the mods have a chance to cross it out, the second person will get their second request.

In the remote possibility that both your choices are already chosen, we will contact you to make a third choice. All comments are screened.

Once all stories are claimed, you will be e-mailed with the name of the person you are writing for. You may then check your recipient's own stories and so forth to get an idea of what she likes. Do not contact your recipient however, as authors will be revealed when the stories are revealed.

November 2012 story challenge: A River Runs Through It

The November Challenge will have the theme "A River Runs Through It". Stories will feature rivers. Please indicate in your comment if you have a preference for a certain geographical region of Middle-earth. You will be given the name of a river from that location to include in your story. The prompt for the challenge will be the name of that river. The story does not have to include the actual presence of the river, so long as it is mentioned in the story.

The November challenge stories will be due Wednesday, November 14th and will be revealed on Friday, November 16th. Please tag your story "a river runs through it". Please remember to use the following header template (also found on the community profile page), and to put the name of your story and your name in the subject line.

Art for the November challenge should feature water in some form, any form, in Arda.

All art must be rated G or PG. See our ratings guidelines here! After the challenge, art will be archived at Many Paths to Tread.

Upload pictures of your project to your favorite photo-sharing site (Photo-bucket, Flickr, LJ scrapbook, etc.), and then post the picture to the community by November 17.

Include the following header:
