September Challenge: Hit the Books

The September Challenge will have the theme "Hit the Books"; the theme is "reading", and the prompt will be the title of a well-known book, which authors will also use as the title of their own story.

The stories will be due in the queue on Wednesday, September 14th, and will be revealed on Friday September 16th. Please tag your story "hit the books". Please remember to use the header template on the community profile page, and to put the name of your story and your name in the subject line.

To request your prompt, please leave a comment to this post. If you have not participated before, please leave an email address so that I can send you your elements. Or you can email the mods at aelfwina@gmail.com, virginia_lee_redcat@yahoo.com, or celeritassagittae@gmail.com.

I hope we'll have lots of participants for our September challenge!

Oh dearest! That was not a good morning and all of this on an empty stomach... and yeah drinking water is good. :)

Sorry things were such a hassle, but I'm glad you at least got a bit of breakfast.

So sorry for the not-so-good, but glad you did get something to eat, good news about your actual lab visit, and ...

About the water intake, my understanding is that it includes all liquids, so that's not as difficult as if it were a gallon of water on top of all the milk, fruit juice, tea, etc., you might be drinking. (I could be wrong about that, but it's what I understand.) Water is, of course, the purest for our systems, but we also need fruit juice and even tea, coffee, and soda in moderation.

*more hugs*

A gallon?!?!?! How could one possibly drink a gallon of water a day? Ridiculous. I'd be peeing for a week.

*hugsssss*

Sorry that things did not go as well as you had hoped, and that you had to eat mystery meat in a hospital cafeteria. Glad that it sounds like the overall news was good.

A gallon of water?! No way! LOL I spend too much too much time in the restroom as it is. I do hope you are feeling better now and that you don't have to make too many more trips to the hospital. That mystery meat worries me.

Oh dear, what a terrible start for a day.
I know what you mean about the water. I can't even manage the 8 glasses...

*hugs*

((((((((hugs))))))))))

That sounds like a trying morning indeed, dear. A gallon of water is like four litres and that is a lot!

My goodness! What a busy day you had! I had heard about the whole water thing as well. You can drink water to get rid of a hungry stomach or bloddedness, but I've tried both several times and it only worked like once...lol.
