Remember Today

Faramir held the bridle of Boromir's steed with one hand and tightly grasped his brother's forearm in farewell.  Any remaining distress over Boromir's claiming of the quest was forgotten in the face of his imminent departure.  The puzzling dream to seek Imladris and a broken sword had come first and often to Faramir; Boromir had dreamed but once yet took immediate action.  He would obey the dream's command to go.

"Farewell, my brother!"  Faramir said, looking up into Boromir's face, committing it to memory.  Boromir gripped his brother's arm in return, gazing intently back at Faramir.

"I shall return," Boromir promised.  "Until then, remember me well.  I love you, Faramir!"

How well you picture this simple yet profound moment! And the illustration is so apt! Kudos to the artist as well as to you!

The differences between the two brothers - the man of action vs the man of dreams - is portrayed so beautifully here. Well done!

I can see how that picture inspired the scene above but I like the written better than the visual in this case; I fall into it more.

What an absolutely perfect caption for Kassiopea's beautiful illustration; I adore her art, and your words fit it like a glove.
