Lasses
“Sugar and spice and all things nice, that’s what all lasses are made of.”
“Bite your tongue, Vinca!” Pippin chided. “There’s no sugar in you and the spice is pepper.”
“Pippin!”
“’Tis true and you know it, Pervinca Took.” He held up his hand. “And I know, the rest of the rhyme fits me. ‘Snips and snails and puppy dog tails, that’s what lads are made of’”
“Pervinca Boffin, if you please.”
Pippin looked at the babe in her arms, his new niece, Daisy, and smiled. “I’ll grant you, you have added a new bit of sugar to the mix.”

Have a great time at "Gulf Wars"!

Date: 2006-03-17 10:50 am (UTC)I'm glad that "Hobbit Aid" got runner-up. I am still not sure of what to make of the story myself, but if it helps keep attention focussed on what's going on here, that is all for the best.
Had a great time in the "Dungeon" (Scribe's Point) yesterday. I hope the weather is cooperative today.
