Goodness, that would be dreadful! Whenever I go in to pay our insurance, we yak our heads off about everything under the sun. If I'm on my own, I can take 30, 45 minutes to pay the bill. When my DH and I both go, I make him go in, otherwise, he'd be waiting in the truck for me forever.
You should do some crafting if you like it. It's very relaxing, in a different way than writing fics. Now, needlepoint is one kind of stitchery I've not tried, but I've seen some beautiful patterns.
